Mark joined North in 2012 and is Director (FD&D) and Head of Sustainability. Mark works with our European Members and on sanctions issues across the membership.

Current Role
Mark leads our sanctions advice team. Mark has responsibility for our European Members.

External Roles
Mark sits as North’s representative on the International Group’s Sanctions Subcommittee. Mark is also a member of the Law Society of the Law Society of England & Wales.

Background
Mark has specialised as a lawyer in shipping dispute resolution since 2004. Mark was shortlisted as Assistant Solicitor of the Year in 2012 at “The Lawyer” Awards in recognition of his work on the impact of sanctions on the shipping industry, a subject upon which Mark has written and spoken frequently on for the last decade.
