Maurice started his career in 2006 at SMIT Salvage (part of the Boskalis Group of companies) where he started in a commercial function.

From 2015 till 2023 he was seconded to another division namely Offshore Energy within the Boskalis Group, being responsible for the chartering of the ocean going tug, construction support, floating cranes and barges fleet. In 2024 he rejoined SMIT Salvage where Maurice Schreurs is currently holds the position of Commercial Director (ER) and is globally responsible for the commercial side.

Maurice holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management (RSM).
