Bardur Mortansson holds a Master of Laws degree from London Metropolitan University and a LL.M. in Maritime Law from the University of Oslo.

He has more than 15 years of experience from the shipping and marine insurance industries, having held roles with Copenhagen-based shipowners J. Lauritzen and Thorco Shipping, as well as with If P&C Insurance.

Bardur is currently the Nordic Head of Marine at If P&C, where he leads the marine Product and Underwriting organization in BA Commercial across the Nordic region. He also serves as a Board Member of Cefor (The Nordic Association of Marine Insurers).
