Mariika is an experienced maritime lawyer and risk consultant with extensive expertise spanning marine, transport and crew claims, insurance, P&I correspondent services, emergency response to cross-border marine incidents, international transactions, regulatory compliance and sanctions.

With more than two decades of diverse experience covering law firms, a legal department of a global ship-owning company and a senior claims and legal management role at a Nordic marine risk management company, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of the maritime industry, combining legal and commercial insight with a strong awareness of geopolitical and operational risks.

Mariika has also been actively involved in initiatives promoting and strengthening navigational security in Nordic waters.
