Mats joined the Norwegian Hull Club as a Commercial Legal Advisor in 2022. From 2008 to 2014 Mats worked as a Contracts and Procurement Consultant with Turner & Townsend. During his tenor there he predominantly worked for Equinor supporting procurement and contract management for major Oil and Gas development projects globally.  From 2014 to 2020 Mats worked as a Legal Advisor in the DOF Subsea group. He was responsible for all legal aspects of projects both during the tender as well as the operational phase. He was also insurance responsible for the group’s Atlantic region. Mats has also worked for the Norwegian Governments Institute of Marine Research from 2020-2022 being responsible for the Legal Department arranging for the procurement of services for the Institute as well the management of contracts during the execution of these.

More than fifteen years of experience in the procurement and execution of complex projects in the offshore industry, from the perspective of developer, operator, contractor, insurance provider as well as governmental institution gives Mats a unique understanding of the dynamics of project execution. Mats holds a MSc in Law from the University of Bergen, Norway.
