Øistein Jensen is Chief Sustainability Officer at Odfjell SE. In this role, Oistein has overall responsibility for sustainability, compliance, and strategic safety for the group. Øistein is a part of Executive Management in the group and was appointed to this role in August 2020 as a part of the companies dedicated focus on Sustainability.

Øistein was previously Chief of staff at Odfjell SE and part of the executive management. As Chief of staff, Øistein had overall responsibility for all administrative and corporate functions, like IT, HR, Org, Legal, Communication, Insurance, QHSSE, Shared Service, Facility, Risk, Compliance, Sustainability and various executive and strategic projects.

Øistein is an executive with wide experience in naval leadership, management consulting, corporate governance, and shipping. Øistein was previously a director at PwC Management consulting for 10 years, working on strategy, ESG, and compliance. Øistein came to PwC from the Navy where he served as captain of a submarine and commander for the submarine command training.

Øistein holds a Bachelor in Military Science and MBA in Business controls including various courses in Psychology and Sustainability. Øistein was awarded HRH King Haralds Watch at the Naval Academy and Stavanger Municipality award for best student at officers training.
