Simon has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and in 2016 took over the management of the Marine and Energy portfolios of AGCS. During this time he has overseen a significant re-underwriting of the marine book which has successfully reduced the marine combined ratio and created a sustainable portfolio. Prior to this he was the AGCS Global Head of Reinsurance where Simon transformed the way AGCS buys reinsurance, putting in place innovative reinsurance solutions which led to substantial savings for the company. 

Prior to joining AGCS, he was Head of Reinsurance Solutions for Allianz Risk Transfer for five years. In this role Simon successfully developed a structured reinsurance strategy and introduced a portfolio with products and markets that were new to ART. Before joining Allianz Risk Transfer he worked in the insurance industry in a range of consulting and underwriting positions in Bermuda, Argentina and the UK, including senior positions for XL Financial Solutions, Bermuda and at Towers Watson, London. Simon is a qualified actuary.
